Argon 18 is presently enjoying a strong tailwind and intends to keep the pace high. A striking example of this is Project Element 114 which has recently culminated in the new E-114 time-trial frameset, brainchild of Gervais Rioux and the Argon team. Even before its official launch, the bike was chosen for the Institut Design Montréal’s Best Design Award for 2007.
This machine, worthy of the greatest athletes, stands out for its ONEness concept front end, a completely integrated aero and stemless fork/aerobar combination that allows for an unprecedented integration of rider and machine from both an aerodynamic and ergonomic standpoint. A mockup version of the E-114 had visitors at the trade shows looking very closely and not least a few Pro Tour riders. This made perfect sense to Gervais Rioux, because the Pro Tour is just where he wants to take Argon 18.
